Moderate tempo with Analytical leading the way and a few others keeping in touch. KING'S ANCHOR (4) resumes. He was well fancied on debut at Kilmore when sent out $2.25 behind Pavlich who has gone right on with it since as a Mornington Guineas winner. He was spelled straight after that even effort when fifth and should be a sharp improver this time around. REIGN CAPITAL (7) resumes having run seventh on debut at Geelong nearly a year ago, then with the Price & Kent Jnr yard. Now with Nick Ryan, he looks to have trialled nicely, respect any push from the sharp yard. INTERROGATE (3) has placed in 3/4 runs to date, just finding one better at Ballarat last time out over this trip. Tough draw but he should be rattling home. ENCHANTED LASS (10) is racing consistently and should be staying on back to 1400m. SHALAAKEI (8) put in the best effort of his career last time and has each-way claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: King's Anchor to win.
