Solid tempo set by Nijito Tarte and G T Rapid. TAISEI LE CIEL (11) drew wide and was pretty plain last time despite meeting with market support when fifth at this course and distance. Rates highly and can atone. NITTO ATLAS (12) returned last time with a solid third at Funabashi over 1200m. Goes up a rung or two but he is good enough to make a big impact. NEW DIVIDE (10) made progress last time out, finishing third at the end of 2000m at Urawa. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. G T RAPID (14) finished fifth over 1400m at this track last time out after a gutsy win when resuming from a spell two runs back. Has the pace to settle in the leading division. Should give backers a sight.
