SPEIGHT'S SUMMIT ULTRA ON TAP OPEN HANDICAP 1200m Track: SYNTHETIC True |

|
Only a small field with Charm Manhattan likely to find a comfortable lead. TUMUCH (1) ran his best race in a while when finishing a brave third in a stronger field on the turf here 12 days ago. Dropping back from 1600m to 1200m would normally be a query for us, but his record over this shorter trip is strong, and his poly track stats are terrific. On top this time. MISS BRITTANY (4) copped a check in the running and did not recover here on the turf surface 12 days ago over this trip. She is much better than that, and she is definitely worth another chance. GEMMA FLITZ (3) has been crying out to get back on this poly surface, and a sharp form reversal is on the cards. A win here would be no surprise at all. HASSTOBEFAST (6) makes her debut from the Nate Mitchell stable after previously being trained in the North Island. Her form on the poly tracks in the North has been good, and without the aid of any public trials, we have to rely on the market to be our best guide. MOTIONTIME (5) has form here, and she is worth including in all top 4 combos to be safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Tumuch can win this, and Gemma Flitz is right in this.
