Moderate tempo with Zayyano leading the way and a few others keeping in touch. BOMB PERIGNON (6) was in the firing line on the turn and progressed nicely last start to finish second at Ipswich after struggling to fire a shot in town. Got things back on track last time and is drawn well. Gets a good chance to get off the mark. ZAYYANO (5) took a big step forward last start on the Gold Coast poly. PRIZE WITNESS (3) hasn't threatened in her last two but still turned in sound efforts to finish fourth. Peak fitness now and is drawn to get all the favours from the inside. In the mix. CLENCH (7) wasn't beaten far when resuming on the Gold Coast poly. Strips fitter second-up, though will likely get a long way back from the wide gate. Watch for him launching late if the pace is genuine. SUGGESTED PLAY: Slight lean to Bomb Perignon.
