The speedy Small Town Hero should find the front with Bollon and Scorched Lane on his heels. HIGHLANDS (3) has had two runs back from a spell and run third in both of them with a win looking close. He was beaten under a length first up at Mornington over 1200m and was solid again at Echuca last time. Maps for a soft run and should go close. SCORCHED LANE (12) ran well on debut at Echuca over 1300m, doing well to hold his ground for second, beaten 1.5 lengths. He'll be much better for that experience as a 2yo and should prove hard to beat with natural improvement. TURN UP THE MUSIC (6) has had a few chances but did run well last start at Ballarat when beaten a head. Fresh for this, he can get into the finish again. BOLLON (9) has had two starts to date, finishing fifth in both. He resumed at Sale and was solid with improvement to come. SMALL TOWN HERO (5) next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Highlands to win.
