Expecting a slick tempo with Syrian Steel, Gijima Mfana and Hunters Arrow leading the way. MAGIC HAT TRICK (10) showed very good improvement when third over 2200m on the turf last time. The manner in which he ran on at the finish that day was encouraging. Serino Moodley is likely to settle him near the rear of the field from the wide draw and he will be storming home late. FIRE FORCE (11) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 2200m at Greyville, beaten 1.5 lengths into sixth. Richard Fourie steps into the saddle and there should be improvement to come. ANIMAL IMPACT (8) made progress last time out, finishing second of 10 over 1700m at this track. Has his share of ability and looks hard to beat. RAINWATER (7) remains a maiden after three runs. Was well in commission last time but could only manage to finish sixth over 1600m at this track. Likely to be in the finish in this suitable assignment.
