Strong early tempo with Zephyr Aile, Nishino Present and Great Spirit matching motors ahead of Tenrai and Satono Rutile. SATONO RUTILE (6) resumes from a spell of 12 weeks. Could only manage to finish fourth at the latest run over 2000m at Nakayama. Came home powerfully to grab second over this trip at her only onther start. Looks the one to beat. GREAT SPIRIT (13) returned last time with a solid third at Tokyo over 1600m after being prominent at the bend. That was a massive improvement on what we saw last prep. Big chance to crack the maiden win. PALO SANTO (3) was below her best last time when seventh over 1800m at Tokyo, beaten 8 lengths. Nicely placed to bounce back. ASHBERG (12) is a superbly bred three-year-old filly lining up for the first time. By Satono Diamond from Always Willing who has produced some fine gallopers, including Shanon Adela at Grade 1 level. Looks one of the better chances despite a tricky draw.
