Many of these step out for the first time so a genuine tempo is expected. Tough race to assess with the only horses guaranteed a run all first-starters but some handy types among the emergencies. Chief among them is I'MATEEZ (13), the younger half-brother to former champion sprinter Imperatriz, who defied market expectations on debut at Sandown to only just miss. Reasonable to expect he will have benefitted greatly from that experience and the extra 100m suits. SIGNATURE SCENT (12) was a $1m ready-to-run 2YO and comes here off some soft jumpouts. EARTH'S ABUNDANCE (7) is with a stable who's had great results with 2YOs this season and has trialled well. Spirit Of Boom filly IDLEONBY (10) debuts for Team Hayes and must be kept safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: I'mateez to win.
