Good pace from Impact Zone, Fabulantes and Prestar. The $160,000 Listed Oxlade Stakes. DAMIEN (4) broke the maiden status at Newcastle when resuming before not measuring up in the Clarendon at Hawkesbury two back. Put the writing on the wall for this with a strong Doomben win last time out and gets the services of Berry in the irons. Looks ready for this level now. The form of QUIETLY ARROGANT (1) tapered off at the end of his first preparation but he had been plying his trade in much tougher Group races. Revved up for this with a dominant Randwick trial win and gets J Mac on from a favourable draw. Has a bit of class over these. PRESTAR (9) broke the maiden status by over four lengths when resuming and is sure to have derived a stack of confidence from that victory. Cannot be discounted. BRAVE DESIGN (3) is still a maiden but has been right there in all four starts to date and is drawn to get a gun run in transit from the inside marble. In the mix. ISTI STAR (10) has won her past two and shouldn't be slept on. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 4,1,9,3.
