Plenty of unraced runners engaged which muddies the map a little. It is fair to assume a genuine tempo. PROVOKER (1) was quickly back on track leading beaten a whisker at Doomben. He draws inside today and will be fitter again. He sets a decent standard. STAR OF ASCOT (4) has his third start and brings threatening efforts from Toowoomba. Maps well and can form the quinella. LADY WINDERMERE (10) was okay here last time after a slow off and will be better for it. She can improve into the money. PRIX DE LA HEART (7) debuts for the Cavanough yard and found a place in a recent Beaudesert trial. The betting will be key. GO MARO (3) brings a tidy debut effort from Toowoomba, and he's capable of building on that. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Provoker.
