Plenty of pace from Montido, Meatloaf and Magna Mak vying for the lead, with a few others keeping them honest. LIGHTNING LIZARD (4) had been racing well until struggling on a heavy track at Albury last start. Comes back to his pet distance today on a firmer deck so a return to form is anticipated. MAGNA MAK (1) raced near the speed but her condition gave out when resuming for new trainer Wayne Carroll at Albury recently. Placed two from two when second-up so she can progress from that latest effort. Perennial placegetter SON OF ZORRO (3) added to his collection last start when an eye-catching second over this distance at Echuca. A must for exotics punters. Lightly raced mare SEANCE (2) is back from a long break for a new stable. Showed ability in her maiden campaign so keep her very safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lightning Lizard just gets the nod in a competitive race.
