Awaken The Dream to go to the lead at a genuine tempo. CUBAN RAIN (8) seven start maiden with a stack of ability ready to win second up. Attacked the line strongly on resumption when a solid third over 1200m at this track. Clearly come back well and doesn't have to improve much to take this out. STRASSMAN (1) comes here in peak condition fourth up and a firmer surface will help his cause. Pulled up with a cough and never handled the heavy (9) conditions when a plugging fifth as fav over 1300m at Goulburn. Will relish the claim and go close on his homer track. EMPRESS TSARINA (3) unwanted in betting on debut when a respectable fourth over 1000m at Scone. Bumped into a smart one on that occasion and the inside gate can see her improve further. JAMARNI (9) trained locally and chipped away late on resumption when fifth over 1200m here. Will relish the extra ground from the low draw. SUGGESTED PLAY: Cuban Rain to shed her maiden tag.
