Plenty of early pace from Scharfsinn, Tablao and Last Story vying for the lead, with a few others keeping them honest. SCHARFSINN (5) produced a reasonable effort when second last start after being prominent at the turn over 1600m at Funabashi, beaten 2.5 lengths. That followed a win at Funabashi the start prior. Facing a tougher assignment but he is good enough to feature. JOHNSON TESORO (6) has eight wins and three minor placings this campaign. Scored last start by 1.3 lengths at this track over 1400m after being handy all the way. Going well enough to take this out. HADES KEEPER (4) proved too strong last start and scored dominantly over 1800m at this track. Boasts 11 wins here. Should settle handy in the run. One to consider. GOLD LEGACY (10) finished third last time at Funabashi. Meets a stronger field but he is capable of running a bold race.
