Solid tempo set by Wavy and Allnatt who are both capable of leading. ALLNATT (2) couldn't have been more impressive first up last start when he scored by 3.5 lengths over 2600m at this track. Fitter for that last hitout and happy to have him on top. SERIAL NOVEL (9) resumes today after filling a minor placing at his only appearance last prep at Fukushima over 2600m on April 14. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Leading contender. KANA ALWAYS (3) is a promising type who hasn't raced since finishing 2 lengths away in fourth over 2600m at Kokura on February 17. Has scored first-up from a spell before. Should park just off the speed. Will give backers a great sight. ADMIRE SAJI (1) closed last campaign with back-to-back placings, the last of which was at Nakayama three-and-a-half months ago. Yuji Tannai who has two wins when partnering stays on. Worth including in calculations.
