Solid pace with Meisho Ballad finding the front but it won't be a picnic with a few other speedy types engaged. MEISHO BALLAD (6) returns from a layoff of six-and-a-half months. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep over 1400m at this track. Capable of playing a major role. JUN CANNON (11) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race when fresh from a spell last time out, finishing third and beaten only 1.3 lengths over 820m at this track after being in contention on the bend. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. YAMAICHI LOVELY (1) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start in sixth after being in the firing line on the bend. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. MARUNO MIZUKI (10) resumes in a similar race to her last run six months ago when third, beaten 0.7 lengths. Worth plenty of thought.
