Retro Boom and Eternal Wind to set a keen tempo, joined by Hi Barbie pushing on. HI BARBIE (10) raced on the speed last start and battled on well but found one better over 900m at Kawasaki. Has been in sound form this prep with a win and four minor placings from 10 outings. That form puts her right in this. ETERNAL WIND (6) strode forward early from her wide draw last start over 1000m at this track only to fade late and finish fourth. Well placed and expected to feature. REESSAYEZ (9) resumes. Didn't make an impact at his only run last prep on December 10, finishing fourth and beaten 9 lengths over 1200m at this track. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. One of the main contenders. CHEERFUL GIRL (1) has not won for a long while but best figures measure up nicely. Can play a role.
