Reasonable tempo with Steely Girl probably leading but a few others should keep her honest. Very open affair. PUNCH ONE OUT (1) raced three and four deep up on the pace from a wide gate and did a great job to hang on for fourth in a Country Championship qualifier over 1200m at Port Macquarie last start. Cherry ripe third-up and his optimal form comes at today's trip. Draws a much better gate and looks ready to win. ANDREA (5) settled back in the small field then picked up nicely to grab third over 1200m at Canterbury last time out. Ready for a first crack at this distance. That good city form is hard to ignore. STEELY GIRL (8) backs up seven days after a decent effort over the mile at this track under 62kgs. Up a little in grade but drops 4kgs and should be competitive. MYALABY (10) made it two minor placings in a row when edged out over 1350m at the Beaumont track recently. Going well enough to test this line-up. SANTATIME (3) was never in the hunt first-up in a Port Macquarie Country Championship qualifier. In contention back in this easier assignment. SUGGESTED PLAY: Punch One Out to win.
