Just a modest pace in store without noted speed runners engaged. CHRONIC (3) showed ability early in his first campaign then went off the bail last couple of runs before a spell. Best figures stack right up and can get off the mark in a suitable race fresh. MANIFEST THE MILLI (5) is another who hasn't raced since a poor run last time. Fitter for two trials, placing most recently. Has placed fresh and expected to feature. BJARNE (2) showed little early speed then came with a powerful run to finish second last time out over 1212m at Sale. One of the main contenders. MYWIFEISNOTHERE (6) could only manage to finish eighth, beaten 6 lengths, at his latest appearance over 1200m at Yarra Valley after he gave away a big start. Best form stacks up nicely so worth another chance. UNRIDDLE (8) is a 29 start maiden who has had too many chances but does keep winding up so can sneak into the finish. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stick with Chronic fresh.
