Expecting Tiara Focus to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. COPANO PASADENA (14) was impressive last time over 1200m at Funabashi, scoring by 5 lengths. Is going well this campaign, recording a win and four minor placings from seven starts. Best form puts him right in this. SATONO TEMPEST (12) is back after a break of four months. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 1400m at this track. One of the genuine hopes in the race. CHIKAPPA (1) has been safely held in tougher company at his last two, the latest in stakes class when eighth in the G3 Negishi Stakes at Tokyo Dirt. Has struggled on the JRA circuit recently but is better placed here. GEORGE TESORO (9) resumed over 1400m at Urawa last start and was too good for his rivals, scoring by 2.5 lengths. Fitter for that last hitout and he can measure up again.
