Strong tempo expected from Khant Fail, Bella Kathleen and Zelestial. ZELESTIAL (2) had been building up to a win and it came in emphatic fashion last start over 1600m at Dubbo where she tracked the speed into the race then put them away easily in the final stages. Has never raced beyond the mile but that latest effort suggests she will cope. PINOT NERO (4) settled at the tail of the field and failed to make an impression first-up over 1500m at Port Macquarie. Will strip fitter and he won over 2200m last prep so this trip is far more to his liking. FIGHTING MAGNUS (7) hasn't won for well over a year but he saves his best for Taree ten furlongs. Far superior on wet tracks than dry so monitor the going closer to race time. BELLA KATHLEEN (5) ran a better race last start at Port Macquarie after a long run of plain form. Will handle the step up in trip so must be included. CHARMED DESTINY (10) wasn't far away here last Tuesday and will enjoy getting over a bit more ground today. SUGGESTED PLAY: Zelestial to win again.
