COOL AZ ALETTA (12) has turned in a couple of eye-catchers of late, most recently over 1200m at Port Macquarie here he came from next to last to be beaten under a length in a Class 2. Very fit after three runs back and in this easier contest he looks ideally placed to score. HE'STHECHIEF (10) stormed home from the back of the field to win his maiden by the barest margin over 1000m at Tamworth last start. Has trialled since and should be even more effective over this longer journey. READY AND LUCKY (1) wasn't disgraced first-up in a BM64 at Wyong. Suited by a bit more ground today and strips fitter so must be included despite a bad draw. Handy mare MOSGIEL DAISY (2) has strong credentials first-up from an 11-week spell. Good fresh performer who has won three races and placed twice from eight runs here at this distance. Should be ready to run well. BATTLEDANCE (16) returned from a spell with an eye-catching third in a similar race here 25 days ago. Definite contender. SUGGESTED PLAY: Cool Az Aletta to win the last.
