Off the inside draw Great Spirit should bounce straight to the lead and set a solid tempo. HAKUSHIN DRAGON (2) was well fancied last start over 2000m at this track when second, beaten 2 lengths. Draws ideally and worth another chance. T O D'AMOUR (10) went forward and gave a great sight before finishing third last time out over 2000m here. Should be close to the speed despite the draw. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is good enough to play a major role. GREAT SPIRIT (1) was prominent at the turn and finished third last time over 1500m at this circuit when resuming from a spell, beaten 7 lengths. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is capable of a big performance. SUMMER STORY (8) got the prize two runs ago but was not as effective last time out when 11th over 1500m at Kawasaki, beaten 17 lengths. Best figures measure up so deserves another chance.
