Genuine tempo from Balearic Sea leading Whitby Abbey. WHITBY ABBEY (5) made it four wins in succession last time out when he scored by a neck over 1700m at this track. Winning rider Takahiro Imai retains the mount. Meeting a tougher field but on current form he is one of the chief contenders. BALEARIC SEA (1) has been in good form, scoring three back at this track then placing twice in a row, most recently finishing second when he was prominent throughout over 2000m at this track. Beautifully placed and is sure to be there at the finish. PARTIDA (6) wasn't far away last time out, finishing third over 1400m at this track. Won't be bothered by this longer journey. Poses a serious threat. DRAGON KID (7) turned in a much better effort last time out to score by 1.5 lengths over 1400m at Kasamatsu. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run.
