The race lacks early speed so doubt they will go too hard. TAISEI RUMOR (3) has the hoof on the till after placing in the last three outings. Met with solid support last start over 1400m at this track when third, beaten 3 lengths. Can break through. BELLE JADE (13) made a strong late bid but just failed to pick up the winner as favourite last start over 1300m at Kochi, continuing a series of top-two finishes. Big chance. GRENAT RUFUS (5) resumes and is lining up today for the first time for trainer Masahiro Fukuda. Was racing on the JRA circuit previously so has to be respected dropping to this class. CAPPUCCINO (1) gets the inside draw and that may spark improvement.
