GOING:

WISHING YOU A MERRY FESTIVE SEASON CONDITIONS PLATE 1000m

Track: GOOD   Clear (Max: 23)

Strong tempo with Elusive Winter and Un Bel Di leading the way over Kaiboy. Small field after the scratchings but plenty of ability among them. TENANGO (3) was Grade 1 placed two back in the Mercury Sprint. Well off best fresh but great record here and winner course and distance. Looks hard to hold out. FIRE ATTACK (1) is a Grade 1 winner over 2000m. Ran on hard fresh and fitter again. This short of best but will be tough to stop late. LUCKY LAD (7) is a dual Grade 1 winner resuming. Goes well fresh and Fourie has been aboard at all of seven career wins. Can return in winning form. KAIBOY (5) rates highly on best form but was well off that in two runs this time in. Course and distance winner down in the weights and is among the main hopes.
