TABEZAKARI (10) is building towards a win with placings at his last two runs, the latest effort a third over 1400m at this track when beaten 2 lengths. Masaaki Ohata has registered two minor placings when on board. Expecting a bold showing. DIA NO GOTOKU (4) turned in an eye-catching run over 1000m at Monbetsu last time, ridden back before coming home with a powerful run to finish second. Expected to prove tough to hold out again. SMOOTH OPERATOR (11) was safely held when tenth last time out over 1700m at this track, beaten 11 lengths. That followed a win at this track at the previous outing. Seigo Tsukamoto gets the best out of this three-year-old colt. Tackling a more suitable race so he is a major player. KITANO ROMAN (8) made some progress last start to finish fifth over 920m at this track, beaten 4.5 lengths. Stepping up in distance this time and can feature prominently.
