Loads of pressure, primarily from Divine Diamonds, Sir Goldalot and Rocky Rich. A good contest. ASK ME MATE (6) peaks and has won his last two here in this grade over 1400m. He's won a trial since last seen 15 days ago and the gelding can go on with the job. DIVINE DIAMONDS (9) found more like her best beaten a whisker in a 68 at Doomben surprising the market. She's proven second up and Stanley is a positive jockey engagement. She shapes a solid each-way play. SIR GOLDALOT (5) is an up-and-comer from the Currie yard and he walloped the 60 graders by 4L at Toowoomba a month ago over a mile. This is tougher but he will use the rail and has plenty of scope for improvement. SCRUB CHAIN (4) just missed here this grade and will be fitter for that. Maps well and will get every chance. I'M HEROIC (1) was plain last time but his form prior stacks right up. Finally draws and inside barrier and the extra metres won't disadvantage. He's capable of taking this out. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Ask Me Mate.
