Gets in light with Newman's claim and will prove hard to stop again despite the rise in grade and trip. MONARCH EXPRESS (4) is at his peak for this and a win looks imminent on the back-up. Just under a month between runs when a game fourth over 1420m at this course. Gets the right set-up and goes close. GIVE ME JOY (2) comes out of a solid rating contest when a game on speed second over 1280m at Canberra Acton. Heads north for this from the sticky draw, and the 2kg claim keeps her in the mix. PUNCH ONE OUT (3) holding his form this time in and has a key jockey change today. Gave his all with the 59.5kg when a gritty second to Cluedo over 1400m at Taree. Solid top-four player.
