Phil The Fluter has enough early speed to find the lead at a decent clip. COMMANDER OF ALL (8) showed some signs of needing his last start over 1400m on the Standside course. He would have come on from the run and will strip much fitter. Jason Gates knows him well and he would not be a shock winner. PHIL THE FLUTER (1) was an easy winner of his last start over 1600m at the Vaal. He takes on stronger rivals but it is encouraging that Gavin Lerena has been booked to ride. From pole position should give a good account of himself. CAN'T CATCH ME (11) was outrun late when fourth over 1400m at the Vaal last time. If confirming her recent improvement in this field, she can place. APACHE CHIEF (2) is better than his post maiden effort over 1600m on the Standside course would suggest. He takes a slight drop in class and may be hard to peg back.
