Pace looks to be genuine with Victortheinflictor and Kawatiri matching motors in advance of Cuba Street and On Alert. LURCH (2) got in the last stride to score by a head here in his penultimate start, and then was up in class and finished runner-up by less than a length on this track nearly 2 weeks ago. He slides back down in class, and from a good draw, he will be hard to hold out. KAWATIRI (5) just battled here last time out over 2140m and was a winner over that trip prior to his last run. She drops down to 1700m, which won't be a problem, and with Bruno Queiroz taking over from an apprentice, she can bounce straight back into the money. VICTORTHEINFLICTOR (3) put it all together to beat the top pick in the same race last time out. He is not badly treated at the weights for this grade, and he can repeat the dose. PLATINUM SIXTY SIX (1) needed his fresh up run here 13 days ago and has won 3 times on this track in the past. The step up from 1400m to 1700m is ideal, and he will be a quick improver. Each-way. LOVE JANIE (6) has found it hard to win another race but is seldom far away. Stick with her. SUGGESTED PLAY: Platinum Sixty Six could be at each-way value here.
