Plenty of pace from Nepravda, Quebeck and White Bear vying for the lead, with a few others keeping them honest. Competitive. Waller-trained EAGLE EXPRESS (10) peaks off threatening efforts at Sandown (Hillside and Lakeside), and she comes back a few levels in grade. She's jumped the last two from awkward barriers and has the inside gate today. McNeil sticks, and this is winnable if things go her way. WHITE BEAR (4) resumes for a leading barn and flies fresh. He's jumped out well and benefits from a 2kg claim from a promising apprentice. Races forward and he has the numbers to be right in it. PRINCESS MONTECITO (8) resumes and is also in a sharp stable. She raced over a mile in a Group 3 when last seen and is proven fresh. Maps well and has a handy 2kg claim. She's right up to this. ESPINHO (7) is another contender in good hands. Won his Maiden heavily bet at Ballarat and he has more to give. Draws well and has to be considered. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Eagle Express.
