Without a recognised leader, Lady Ducati and Ah Kum will likely set the pace. Tough. ROYAL TROOPER (1) stepped up to a middle distance and blitzed the Northam Maidens by 4.7L. Lifted his figures again in a 50 there following. Comes back 400m on a 7-day return and keeps the 3kg claim. Will be ridden quietly and is capable of finishing over the top. WHY ME (2) got closer here last time on the turf over a mile showing more like his best. Risk getting bailed up along the rail but can make the finish if the spits come. LIEN HYPHEN (5) comes back 200m and has been within range all campaign. Draws handy and she will get her chance with Faithfull sticking aboard. ONLY US (6) didn't manage the wide gate last time, but brought solid run to that. Draws awkwardly again, but the 3kg claim brings him into it. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Royal Trooper in a tricky race.
