Expecting Izola to set a genuine tempo after crossing from wide out. Competitive. FUWARI (10) resumed over 1500m at Ballarat and did a good job to finish where she did. The step up to the middle distance is ideal and with average luck she will be hard to roll. ALPINE COWGIRL (7) stepped up to this trip here last time and went okay after a slow start. Well-seasoned and she won't have to improve much to threaten. OMAMORI (5) has the blinkers on for the first time and he made good improvement at Donald over a mile. He should enjoy the longer journey but the outside barrier needs managing. A gun hoop is engaged and that offsets to a degree. FIFTY CALIBRE (2) also draws wide but he's in a leading barn and quick improvement is likely. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Fuwari.
