Moderate pace from Zeljko taking it up with Wa Wa Wa and Valentiago on her back. ZELJKO (8) stepped up to the mile and was ridden closer to the speed last start at Hawkesbury but found one better. Expect that run, the second of the prep, to top him off beautifully for this. SLEUTH (3) closed well to finish third, a length behind Zeljko, in a maiden over this trip at Hawkesbury last time out. Has had plenty of chances but he is fit and draws the fence so another big run looks on the cards. VALENTIAGO (9) lined up for only the third time when beaten just over a length in a 1350m Wyong maiden recently. By Dundeel so getting to this distance for the first time should see further improvement. WA WA WA (5) is on trial at this trip but his two efforts this campaign have been encouraging. CASTEL NUOVO (2) has failed to flatter in his two runs to date but the application of a tongue tie might see some improvement. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Zeljko.
