Pace strong from Golden Crusader and Sir Lucan vying for the lead closely attended by Hit The Road Jack. THINK 'N' FLY (5) was scratched at the barriers in the Newcastle Cup but had been racing in great heart prior and should give a bold sight here. He's placed in his past three and only needs to hold that form to be in the finish again. SIR LUCAN (1) was okay in the Newcastle Cup last time. He's got the big weight again but has the class to lead all the way. HIT THE ROAD JACK (2) was back from the jumps last start and ran very well in the G3 Archer Stakes when second. Major claims off that. GOLDEN CRUSADER (4) won an easier race well last start and is in the each way mix. HERMAN HESSE (3) next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Think 'N' Fly on top.
