Only a moderate early tempo with no recognised leaders taking part. SOMEI (4) was close to the placings two runs back then did well last start but found a couple better over 900m at this track, beaten only 1.8 lengths after being in contention on the bend. Looks well placed so could break through. TAKENO TIGER (3) is a six-start maiden who kept chasing when beaten 2.5L into fourth at his latest appearance at this track and trip. This looks a nice race so expect him to be right in the finish. NEKO TANTAN (2) is open to improvement on his third on debut four weeks ago. Handy draw will assist so another bold showing is expected. CAME (1) is a two-year-old filly on debut from the stable of Katsutoshi Teshima. By Came Home from Princely Baton. Good draw a big help. Worth watching for a betting push.
