Good early tempo with several going forward, primarily Omoplata, Bold Tropic and Ginger Creek.
KIKUYU (4) was a beaten favourite last start on this track and it was reported after the race that he had been inclined to hang out during the run for some reason. He is back down in class here and with a couple of gear changes, he can make amends. Follow your money. OMOPLATA (5) bolted home to win in the same race as the top pick last start when fresh up from a spell, scoring by 7 lengths. She is up 2.5kg but that should not be enough to stop her from going close to winning again. QUICK RETURN (2) is racing his way back into form and was a solid runner-up here a fortnight ago after racing close to the pace that day. He will be spot-on with his fitness and can go one better this time. ZASCEED (1) has changed stables since last racing at Bendigo in June and should have no trouble measuring up in this area. The markets will be an important guide. SUGGESTED PLAY: Zasceed each way.
