Genuine pace with Eeyan crossing from the outside gate in search of the lead. Grade 3 winner NOBLE ROGER (2) lines up for the first time since June 15. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 1800m at Hanshin. Goes well fresh and suited this level. Will be hard to hold out. NIHONPIRO KYIV (5) comes here off a break of ten weeks. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last time in work over 2000m at Kyoto. Has ability and should be right in the finish. ASK KONNAMONDA (13) is yet to find the frame in two runs since resuming from a spell, the latest when eighth over 1600m in the G3 Sekiya Kinen at Niigata. Will strip fitter and can turn things around. HRIMFAXI (7) last appeared three-and-a-half months ago when he finished 2.5 lengths from the winner in third over 1400m at Tokyo. Winning hope.
