Anglesea, Cobblestone Way and Mongolian City all possess good speed. GODTFRED KIRK (5) looks well placed second up off a good return at Pakenham, no match for the winner there but coming home strongly to grab second at his first run for the Reece Goodwin yard. Expect improvement off that and up to 1200m suits nicely. ANGLESEA (6) is a progressive sort who came away to win his maiden nicely over this track and distance last time out after riding the speed. He'll roll forward with Stackhouse booked and should be very hard to catch again. RUSSIAN FRONT (9) resumes. He doesn't win out of turn but is well up to this class on his day and Neindorf has never missed the placings when aboard. Should go well. GOLDEN SPRITZ (2) is off a let up having battled home in a hot Class 1 behind Clevor Trever (since 2x Saturday winner) at Bendigo. The fresh run was good and this suits. FIRERATED (7) next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Godtfred Kirk to win.
