Solid tempo with Rocky Blonde, Merchant Moon and Capiana going hard, closely attended by Amore Sirena. STANDLEE (4) returns after a spell of four-and-a-half months. Looking to emulate his win at Kumbia at the beginning of last prep. Goes well for hoop Cormack who is yet to miss a drum in five steers and makes plenty of appeal in a race like this. AMORE SIRENA (6) was in contention on the bend and progressed nicely last start to finish a close second over 1200m at Kilcoy after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Finds a suitable race and can go on to take this out. CALMER KARMA (1) was far from disgraced to finish 1.75 lengths away in second last start over 1200m at Nanango. That followed a first-up win at Chinchilla. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is capable of testing his rivals. CAPIANA (3) has won over this track and trip and gets a stack of weight off with the 3kg claim. Top-three aspirations. SUGGESTED PLAY: Standlee to return a winner.
