No surprise if the first starters played a key role in the tempo of the race with little speed on paper. BLUE HUMMA (1) is a gelding by Blue Point from Humma Mumma on debut who can throw a good one. He's prepared by the McArdle yard and looked handy winning a recent jumpout at Mornington. Mott booked, this looks very winnable. VINTELL (6) ran a good race on debut at Mornington over this distance when sticking on for third. He should take beating with natural improvement. CABARET QUEEN (8) is now with the Lindsay Smith yard off a let up. Struggled when last seen at Werribee but had shown glimpses prior and could surprise. MY BONNIE LASSIE (11) tried hard on heavy at Geelong latest, back to 1000m here is some query but she can be staying on. FORWARD HO (10) was behind My Bonnie Lassie last time and is in the each way mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Blue Humma to win.
