Strong tempo expected from Always Free, Overpriced and Pride Of Mandy. ALWAYS FREE (9) made a nice impression on debut at Werribee when sitting on speed and boxing on for a narrow defeat, beaten half a length. She should only come on from that and looks the clear one to beat. PRIDE OF MANDY (15) was third in that Werribee race on resumption from a spell. She should strip fitter and draws for every hope, go close again. WHO'LLSTOPLORRAINE (13) has been going okay in her maiden campaign, battling away on very heavy ground at Geelong when last seen in fourth. She'll be rock hard fit and up on speed. FRENCH ROMANCE (11) is a filly by Maurice on debut for the Griffiths yard who can run well despite drawing wide. WEST FORTY SEVENTH (8) has been solid in two runs back and is in the mix.
