A race that lacks early pressure on paper. DUBAI WARRIOR (1) talented gelding resuming with excellent credentials over the 1600m. Won two-straight over this trip at Wyong on rain affected tracks last July. Gets in light with the 3kg claim and fitted with the two 1200m trials. Leading hope despite the layoff. MENTHON (2) stalked the speed from the good gate to shed his Maiden tag at start six over 1450m at Illawarra Grange. Bred to get this trip and further and confidence is high. ANGARA (6) has been up for a while and jumps sharply in trip today. Gripped on late in the heavy (9) going to finish fourth over 1250m at Newcastle. Has won up to 1350m and breeding suggests he will have no trouble getting this journey. UNREAL EXPECTATION (8) not that far away of late in stronger races and gets the right set-up for this.
