Diomedes to take charge ahead of Pacheco at a solid tempo. SOLDIER BOY (3) was a brave winner here in his penultimate start, and then was a game runner-up in the Opunake Cup at New Plymouth 3 weeks ago. He is up in weight, but in a good space, and can take this out. DIOMEDES (7) was back in winning form at Arawa Park thanks to a clever ride, and with Michael McNab getting down to 54kg being a good lead, he can repeat the dose. GOSPODIN (2) tried hard when weakening late over 1400m in the Opunake Cup 3 weeks ago. There is a query over the mile, but with a 4kg claim, he can't be totally ruled out of a top 3 finish. ROSETOWN PRINCESS (10) ran on too late here 2 weeks ago when finishing second. She is rock-hard fit, and is another who is worth including in all combinations. SUGGESTED PLAY: Diomedes could take some pegging back again.
