Good early pressure anticipated with a large number of first starters. POETIC ANGEL (9) resumes. Just failed to pick up on debut with a respectable third over 1005m at Ballina on November 14. Back with the two searching trials and expected to go close over this trip. STEFFIEWAH (6) Paul Snowden trained three-year-old gelding by Graff from Loolwah on debut. Looked to have plenty up the sleeve when a recent trial winner over 1000m at Taree. Top-three player. MCCOSKER (1) showed a ton of ability in his first prep and returns with the one 840m Doomben trial. Placed at the track and can stalk the good tempo. Hard to hold out. PRESSIPITATING (10) had mixed luck in sixteen starts and resumes with the 3kg claim. Not that far away when fifth over 1400m at Inverell. Back without a trial and not to be underestimated. ANDERLYN (11) is a three-year-old filly by Anders from Lady Llewellyn on debut from the Jordan Lee yard. Improved effort in her latest trial when fourth over 1020m at Ballina. Worth thought. SUGGESTED PLAY: Poetic Angel can get the job done first-up.
