Plenty of pace from Rock In Wonder, Kentucky Blue and Noahquintilly vying for the lead, with a few others keeping them honest. Time for the Cup now where TRUE PLAYER (3) looks the one to beat after securing the Albany Cup last start when running on from midfield as the odds-on pop elect. Wider draw this time, but trust Fiore to get the first part of the race right and he can bring up back-to-back victories. INVINCIBLE THIEF (9) got a long way back and flew home over 1800m at Ascot lasts tart in a Bm66+. She's a winner out to 2200m previously, so the trip is no issue and she gets in light at the weights. Things look to set up nicely for her and she can return to winning ways with Nottle on board. ROCK IN WONDER (13) bumped into a smart one last start when finishing 3.3L off the winner at Ascot. The inside draw should see him close to the speed and he was the best of the rest there last start. Will be in this for a long way. NOAHQUINTILLY (11) has the speed to offset the wide draw and give a sight. ROYAL LAW (2) is good enough to feature if he gets some luck from the wide alley. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with True Player to go back-to-back.
