STERN IDOL (1) returned from a spell with a sound fourth in a 3000m flat race at Sandown-Hillside last start. Genuine jumper with 14 wins and two minor placings from 27 starts over the obstacles. Boasts strong second-up stats and looks perfectly placed to add to his record. LEADERBOARD (2) resumed with a modest steeplechase fourth over 3450m at Warrnambool. He's a talented jumper right up to this and is sure to be harder to beat with that outing under the saddle. THE MIGHTY SPAR (3) was back to jumping with a 1L defeat over 3450m at Warrnambool. Will get every chance to go one better. FIELD OF LIGHTS (4) resumed after a spell with a big 3200m win over the brushes at Hamilton. Expecting further improvement. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stern Idol to win.
