Best figures measure up and looks one of the chief contenders. DADS DREAM (5) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1400m at Vaal, beaten 7 lengths. Weakened fresh over further. Fitter and expected to improve sharply. GATHERING WINTER (4) improved last start to finish second over 1200m at Vaal. Has had a lot of chances but strong run latest and would go close with a repeat. GOD'S COUNTRY (2) could only manage to finish ninth, beaten 17 lengths, at his latest appearance over 1400m at Scottsville. Appeals as a top-four contender.
