The speedy Da Nang Star should find the front with Highland Dream and Santastico on his heels. SANTASTICO (1) has not been too far away in some tougher fields in South Australia recently and should notice the drop back in class here. He gets a kind draw and has the winkers on for the first time. He loses nothing with Ryan Hurdle in the saddle and can get the job done this time. HIGHLAND DREAM (7) won his maiden at Mornington when resuming and then just battled at Echuca 12 days ago. He will be spot-on third up and is capable of bouncing straight back into the money here. DA NANG STAR (2) dropped back in class for his first Victorian run and was a decisive winner by over half-a-length, franking his trial win before that. He can only improve on that run and can make it 2 wins on the bounce. HACHIMAN (10) will be peaking third up and looks as though he will appreciate the extra furlong on offer here. He cops another wide gate but John Allen should negate that and the pair merit healthy respect. SUGGESTED PLAY: Santastico to win.
