Strong pace from Vlastari, Blue Messiah and Reina Azul. EFFULGENCE (3) recorded another minor placing last time out, finishing 5 lengths away in second over 2400m at Tokyo. Looks a bit better than today's rivals and should be opening his account. POPPONO FESTA (7) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 2.75 lengths when fifth in a 2600m contest at this track two weeks ago. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. ORIO AL SERIO (11) is a three-start maiden who resumed from a spell last start and was beaten 3.5 lengths when eighth over 2400m at Tokyo. Definite top-three hope with plenty of improvement to come.
